3,14... was born in March 1999, in the Pau region (Pyrenees Atlantiques - South West of France).

Three of its members had already played together in the past and decided to stick together for more musical adventures. Thierry is the lead singer, Jean-Louis plays the guitar and Sam the bass guitar. Petr, who used to be drummer within a Czech band, "Laura & her tigers" that had been successful at European level, takes care of the drums.

The band's ambitions are all to do with the mathematecial number 3,14...which happens to be infinite..hence the name.

Having performed around the region, the band decided to put some of their tunes onto CD and, in April 2000, recorded the album "Un an déjà" (One year already), with 7 tracks entirely produced by the band. "Un an déjà" has original tracks with French lyrics, which the band chose specifically to share their passion with their audience.

In the summer 2000, after a heavy summer schedule, 3,14... performed on three occasions in Czech Republic, which is where Petr is from.

The "Kamion Rock" festival in Most was a huge success as the Czech audience gave a warm welcome to the band (August 2000).

Spring arrived and after a hard work and several much appreciated performances, 3,14... made a great impression on 16th June on the "Boulevard en Fête" music festival in Pau. There was a fantastic atmosphere, it was crowded, people loved the tunes and the band thoroughly enjoyed performing.

A new Czech tour is planned for August 2001, which will take the band from Pilsen to Most, via Prague, which will enable them to share the stage with "Laura & her tigers". Czech Republic....wow! Hot weather (the musicians had to drink litres and litres!!!!), beautiful scenery (including women....) an intriguing language (not an easy one! Thank God Petr was there!!!). Well, one thing is for sure, 3,14... love music and love to share it with people.

Autumn-winter 2001 : 3,14... reviewed its tunes, added a few new ones, and started a series of concerts locally ; the concert at the  « La Scène » (in Pau) was actually the best of the season.

Then new concerts came and new songs too so in winter 2002, 10 new tunes are recorded and since the band still goes on.

2004 : good year for 3,14... which played in Lille for an RTL2 concert, with others bands selected in the whole France.
